Use the Fine, Special Stuff In the Back of Your Closet Just Because You Can

During the past few months while I’ve been inside, the days seem to blend into each other and no day felt special. They were pretty normal days with minimal contact with others, so no day felt special to me after a while.

That is, until I ran out of pants and looked in my closet to find a bridesmaid dress.

Then I found a treasure trove of jewelry I never wear. I hardly wear jewelry as it is. (If you think wearing a mask for a session is uncomfortable while cuddling, try wearing earrings or bulky jewelry while cuddling!)

Then I found some high end perfume that my grandmother bought me for Christmas one year. (I hardly wear perfume either because noxious smells during cuddle sessions are not cool).

And THEN I came across a $22 tube of lipstick I bought forever ago! (WTF was I thinking?!)

Basically, I found a bunch of nice things I like but never wear or use. I saw them, smiled, and put them all away.

Just kidding! I put them all on at once and went about my day. Because I go big or go home when it comes to these kinds of things.

Fine clothing, luxury jewelry, Sephora makeup and designer scents. This all probably sounds really vain and conceited in a way, and I’d say the average person that doesn’t use these things every day is a lot like me and saves them only for special occasions so they can look, feel and smell their best special selves.

But guess what? You’re special and should wear that whenever you want, including today. If you’re feeling blah these days and forget that, maybe using some of the good stuff you save for special occasions will help remind you of that.

P.S. Did you know that I’ve been writing a book? It’s slated to come out in October!
